Randolph My house was broken into yesterday, and aside from the inconvenience of suffering losses of a broken video machine and a broken hi-fi, I am annoyed with the reaction of people I tell.
“You have to live with it, I guess”, and “That’s the way life is” are comments that annoy me, because something can be done about the crime in this country.
If the government in all its glory stopped spending money on weapons and aircraft and submarines and stuff we don’t need, and more on the HIV/AIDS epidemic, job creation, and correctional services, I wouldn’t be complaining today about my hefty insurance claim and excess payment.
Sure, life does throw crap at you every now and then, but with the right attitude, you can throw it back without having to wipe your fingers off.
